St. Paul’s Centenary Church, part of Church of South India (CSI) – Krishna-Godavari Diocese, is a historical Church founded by Rev. J. Harrison more than a century ago, stands as a magnificent testimony to the Christian faith and as a monument to the memory of Rev. J. Harrison.
Constructed in the year of 1901, this Church is the mother church for many churches in and around Vijayawada. It is located in the heart of Vijayawada on Kings Way, which is now called B.R.P Road.
Rt. Rev. Henry Whitehead, Bishop of Madras laid the foundation stone on the 6th day of February 1900 and the Church was ready by 24th December 1900. It was dedicated on 17th February 1901 by the name St.Paul’s. Since then this place of worship has been the center of Christian influence.
